As we prepare for FY12, the Board of Directors is planning to request the Shearon Farms Single Family Homeowners Association (HOA) to vote on an annual assessment increase beginning January, 2012. The projected expense budget will be used for community related activities such as neighborhood improvements, social and community outreach events. As a reminder, the annual assessment in FY11 was suspended.
Also, the Board of Directors have received numerous requests from members of our community to do some “major neighborhood improvements” such as updating all of the single family section of the neighborhood with new decorative light posts and fixtures. These types of requests would be handled outside of the annual budget and would result in a special assessment as well as a special vote from the members of HOA.
